Hsinchu Science Park, Taiwan, March 19, 2009 - Sunplus Technology Co., Ltd. ("Sunplus" or "the Company") (TAIEX: 2401, LSE: SUPD) today held a meeting of the Board of Directors and Supervisors, at which the board proposed not to distribute dividends of 2008 profits. (1) 2008 business report and financial statement
(2) 2008 dividend distribution

3. Discussion & Elections:
(1) to amend "Procedure of endorsements & guarantees"
(2) to amend "Sub-procedure of extension of monetary loans to others"
(3) to amend "Procedure of engaging in derivatives trading"
(4) to elect new directors and supervisors
(5) to lift the ban against joining competitor to directors

The 2009 Sunplus Annual Shareholders' Meeting will be held in Room 302 of Science Park Life Hub, No.1, Industrial East Road 2, Hsinchu Science Park, Taiwan at 9:00 AM, on Thursday, April 30th, 2009. Invitations to the shareholders will be sent 30 days prior to the date of the shareholders' meeting by mail. The shareholders' register shall be closed for registration of transfer from March 2nd, 2009 through April 30th, 2009.
