STB MPEG Decoder Single Chip

SPHE1002 A/V decoder is a cost effective DVB STB A/V decoder. SPHE1002 can be applied in DVB STB, in Terrestrial, Satellite, and Cable fields, either in Free-To-Air or in Conditional Access/Common Interface applications. It integrates a MPEG-2 Transport Demulitiplexer, a MPEG -1/-2/-4 A/V decoding engine, a 2-channel audio DAC and a 4-channel multi-format TV-encoder. SPHE1002 performs a real-time PID filtering of transport stream, decode and playback of MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 A/V from DVB NIM. Multimedia A/V functions, such as MPEG-1, MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 video or MPEGI/II Layer 1/2/3 , PCM , LPCM audio, can be real time decode and playback from SD/MMC/Memory Stick/Memory Stick Pro multi-in-one memory card or USB 2.0 Mass storage Device inputs by SPHE1002.

• OSD: Support 2/4/16/256 indexed color with de-flickering , support 16/24 direct color
• Embedded TV encoder : Support 480i/480p/576i/576p format to display CVBS, S-video, and Component YCbCr/YPbPr video.
• Built-in MPEG Serial Transport Stream, Parallel/Serial ROM/FLASH interface, UART, IR, RTC and VFD.

• A complete set of SPHE1002-based hardware and software reference platform is available from Sunplus. Sample and evaluation kit are available. SPHE1002 is in volume production now.
