台灣最大的消費性IC設計公司凌陽科技(Sunplus Technology，TAIEX：2401, FTSE：SUPD)與位於美國矽谷的DVI視訊傳輸技術與方案領導廠商Silicon Image Inc. (Nasdaq：SIMG) 日前共同宣佈，凌陽已取得Silicon Image 所開發的DVI(Digital Visual Interface)核心授權。

依據合約內容，凌陽將可採用Silicon Image 在業界領先的PanelLinkR產品中的 DVI 核心來開發包含雙用模式(Dual-Mode)液晶顯示器控制IC等產品。在雙用模式的液晶顯示器控制IC方案中，其主要的特點是包含兩種輸入介面，第一種輸入介面是RGB類比信號，因此需要一個類比至數位訊號的轉換器(Analog to Digital Converter)將信號轉換成數位信號再作處理後推動液晶顯示模組，因此畫面容易產生失真，銳利度降低，以及抖動等問題。 另一種介面則是先進的DVI數位輸入介面，它可以完全克服以上類比輸入所產生的缺點而顯示出無瑕的畫面，因此將成為未來液晶顯示器的主流輸入介面。
