("Sunplus Innovation" or "the company") the subsidiary of Sunplus Technology, the leading consumer IC design house, today presents its high performance single chip SPIF250, embedded Sunplus's leading-edge 32-bit RISC processor S+core7, for entry-level external storage applications at 2007 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas.
The SPIF250 offers one USB 2.0 device port and three Serial ATA ports to provide more flexibility, which three SATA ports are compliant with SATA2.5 specification and can be programmed as host or device. The SPIF250, build-in 32-bit RISC S+core7 and 64KB ROM and 64KB RAM, support Windows ME/2000/XP/2003/Vista, Linux, Mac10 OS, and etc. Moreover, SPIF250 supports various standard interfaces like I2C, UART, SPI, and Wisair LBI to connect encryption, fingerprint, and UWB to differentiate each design.
