Sunplus Statement regarding Recent Taiwan Earthquake
Hsin-Chu, Taiwan, R.O.C. March 31, 2002 - Sunplus Technology Co., Ltd. (SUNPLUS or the "Company") (TAIEX: 2401, FTSE : SUPD), today reported its employees are safe and there was no interruption in power or water service following the 6.8 magnitude earthquake (Hsinchu 4.0) that shook Taiwan on the afternoon of March 31st, Sunday. A very minimal amount of document fell off the shelves.
