Hsinchu Science Park, Taiwan, R.O.C. February 6th, 2004 - Sunplus Technology Co., Ltd. ("Sunplus" or "the company") (TAIEX: 2401, LSE: SUPD) today announced that net sales for January 2004 totaled NT$ 1,114 million. Going forward to 1st quarter in 2003, sales should be less than last Quarter due to seasonality. But comparing with January 2003, the net sales of January 2004 increased 81.17%. Since the economy is better this year, Sunplus should have better performance this year.

From 2004, the sales breakdown has been revised to 4 categories including LCD IC, Micro controller, Multimedia IC and Others because of product mix change. The sales of LCD controller, which was in LCD IC segment before, and the sales of Voice/Music synthesizer have been consolidated to Micro controller segment from January 2004.
