Hsinchu Science Park, Taiwan, February 6th, 2004 - Sunplus Technology Co., Ltd. (TSE: 2401, LSE: SUPD) today announced its financial results of 2003. In 2003, the net sales added up to NT$11,098 million, which grew 28.5% comparing with 2002. Overall gross margin in 2003 were 34.4%, R&D expenses were 13.7% of the net sales of 2003. The net income in 2003 were NT$2,007 million, which earnings per share were NT$2.58 based on current 777,504 thousand shares.

The net sales of 4th Quarter in 2003 totaled NT$3,762 million, which net income amounted NT$802 million, and the earnings per share would be NT$1.03 based on the current 777,504 thousand shares. The product gross margin of 4Q'03 slightly decreased to 34.1% but R&D expense were 11.0% of the net sales in 4th Quarter.
