Hsinchu Science Park, Taiwan, October 27th, 2004 - Sunplus Technology Co., Ltd. (TSE: 2401, FTSE: SUPD) today announced its 3rd Quarter financial results of 2004. From January to September in 2004, the net sales added up to NT$13,926 million, which grew 89.8% comparing with the same period of last year. The net profits from January to September in 2004 were NT$2,394 million, which earnings per share were NT$ 2.73 based on current 875,254.4 thousand shares after dividend.

The net sales of 3Q'04 totaled NT$5,453million,and product gross margin of 3Q'04 increased to 34.5% due to product mix change and process migration. The R&D expenses in 3rd Quarter were 10.1% of the net sales. The net income in 3Q'04 amounted NT$1,032million, and the earnings per share would be NT$1.18 based on the current 875,254.4 thousand shares.
