Hsinchu Science Park, Taiwan, October 28th, 2005 - Sunplus Technology Co., Ltd. (TSE: 2401, FTSE: SUPD) today announces its financial results of 3rd Quarter in 2005.

The sales of 3Q05 summed up NT$4,929million, which grew 10.8% comparing with 2Q'05. The gross margin in 3Q'05 was improved to 35.4% since gross margin in 2Q'05 was 31.3%. The R&D expenses in 3Q'05 were 13.6%. The net profits in 3Q'05 were NT$928million, which grew 111.1% comparing with 2Q'05. The earnings per share in 3Q'05 were NT$0.99 based on weighted average shares outstanding which are 937,914,889 shares.

The net sales from January 1st to September 30 added up to NT$13,541million, and gross margin were 31.0%, R&D expenses were 13.6% of the totaled net sales. The net profits from January 1st to September 30 in 2005 were NT$1,547million, which earnings per share were NT$1.65 based on weighted average shares outstanding which are 937,914,889 shares.
