Hsinchu Science Park, Taiwan, October 26th, 2010 - Sunplus Technology Co., Ltd. (TAIEX: 2401, LSE: SUPD) today announced its third quarter financial results in 2010. The net sales from January to September in 2010 totaled NT$4,816 million, a decrease of 1.8% compared to the same period in 2009, and the gross margin from January through September in 2010 was up to 37.8% against 32.6% in 2009. The operating income from January through September in 2010 totaled NT$335 million. The profits after tax from January through September in 2010 totaled NT$759 million, and the earning per share after tax was NT$1.27 based on the outstanding 596,909,919 shares on September 30th, 2010.
The net sales totaled NT$1,390 million and the operating income totaled NT$17 million for the third quarter in 2010, and the net income totaled NT$199 million. The earning per share after tax for the third quarter in 2010 was NT$0.33 based on the outstanding 596,909,919 shares on September 30th, 2010.
